(57) which not only shows how uncon cerned with his sh be he is but also explains why he is so apathetic; if he is killed because of this trial he is simply stating that he is not re shoot forable, no one can take his place unless this God of who they speak of intervenes.

In his introductory sentence, Socrates states that If you put me to death, you will not easily find anyone to take my place (57) which is an evoke statement considering his situation. By truism that he cant easily be replaced, hes insinuating that he serves a positive role in society that wont be easily replaced if he is killed. That positive role is rousing, persuading, warning(a) e ratt ling one of you (57) in which he is trying t! o say that he is trying to convince people that their theories are not proven, so how could they prove that he is wrong. Also, seems to be saying that he wants his students think that the thought of God is rousing, a remain and he wants them to think for themselves on what they believe.
